Our advisory department is a team that works together to provide consulting support in valuation, forecasting, due diligence, initial public offerings, litigation, and other subjects.
Our mission is to deliver exceptional accounting and financial services to our diverse clientele. Junior Associate’s role in obtaining this objective will include servicing our clients, on a full-time basis, in areas such as transaction advisory, financial due diligence, preparation of financial statements and schedules, and other related services.

Characteristics

Solid communication skills are essential, enabling effective collaboration with both clients and team members. Must be able to work within tight deadlines (during peak periods) and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and Experience
As we are a public accounting firm, experience with (or demonstrated knowledge of) accounting and finance is critical to this role. Ideally, we are looking for an individual with a university-level education (or higher), with an accounting / finance focus, along with relevant consulting experience. While not required, and asset is if the individual is a registered CPA student with CPA Ontario.
Our firm is recognized as a Pre-Approved Program office for training Chartered Professional Accountants and the successful applicant will be enrolled in the program if they require additional articling experience to qualify for their CPA designation.
Duties
Duties include executing financial advisory engagements, preparation of schedules, and other related accounting and tax services for clients. Provide value-added advice to clients and work closely with them to identify and implement improvements to their financial processes. In addition, provide full-cycle accounting support to our clients, including some controllership services.
Technology
Our firm is technologically-focused and uses a several key pieces of software (and cloud) tools to keep us organized, productive, and on-task. We will provide you with experience in: CaseWare, TaxPrep, and the Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel, Word, and Outlook). Experience with Quickbooks, Xero, and other desktop and cloud accounting software may also be obtained via specific engagements.
