K&P CPAs’ Co-founder, Igor Kostioutchenko, named a Fellow of CPA Ontario

K&P CPAs is pleased to announce that its co-founder, Igor Kostioutchenko, has been named a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario).

The Fellow (FCPA) distinction is the highest honour CPA Ontario bestows upon a member. It recognizes members for their exceptional service, achievements and contributions to the profession, both in their careers and their communities.

Alongside his responsibilities as Lead Professional Practice Director and Partner at K&P CPAs, Igor has volunteered in the affairs of the profession for more than a decade. He marked the profession’s qualifying examinations during his years at Deloitte and Collins Barrow. He has served CPA Ontario as a practice inspector since 2017, and since 2021, he has chaired CPA Ontario’s Small and Medium Practices Advisory Committee, which works with CPA Ontario to develop practical resources for small and medium practices. He has also mentored early-stage founders at the University of Toronto’s Entrepreneurship Hatchery since 2010.

A graduate of the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, Igor articled with Deloitte LLP (2008 to 2014) and practised with Collins Barrow LLP (2014 to 2017) before co-founding K&P CPAs with Gus Patel in 2017. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and he is a Licensed Public Accountant (LPA) in Ontario. His practice centres on assurance, business valuations and forensic accounting.

“Igor’s recognition as a Fellow reflects more than a decade of service to the profession that has run alongside his work for our clients.” said Gus Patel, co-founder of K&P CPAs. “Professional exam marking, practice inspection, committee leadership and mentorship are rarely visible to clients, but they are part of what Igor gives back to the profession. We are proud to see that service recognized by his peers and by CPA Ontario.”

Igor will be formally recognized at CPA Ontario’s celebration of new Fellows in January 2027.
