Joe Cass received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1967, following five years of articling with several public accounting firms. He became a partner in Resnick Wintraub in 1970, and later joined Mintz & Partners as a Partner in 1981. During his tenure at Mintz & Partners, Joe played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth, expanding from 40 to over 200 professionals by 1993. His practice focused on audit, tax, and estate planning for a wide range of clients. In 1999, Joe launched his own practice, servicing clients until 2019, when he merged his firm with K&P CPAs under the Abacus Group brand. Joe continued his hands-on approach, maintaining close relationships with his clients and providing practical advice grounded in decades of experience. Guiding his clients through tax and estate planning, business acquisitions and divestitures, and serving as a trusted advisor, he is valued for his personal approach and for being the steady voice of reason. Joe transitioned into a Senior Advisor for K&P CPAs, the firm’s successor, where he continues to support clients and the firm's team with his knowledge and guidance.
